Nikos Petros Kuluris is a recognizable face of today’s Czech pop-rock scene. As the saxophonist of Kryštof, he tours festivals and arenas, thriving where strong melody, dynamics, and feel for the moment meet. An Ostrava native, he values honesty, directness, and things built to last. That’s why he accepted the role of Amati ambassador. He believes in Czech craftsmanship, in the bond between player and instrument, and in respect for the people behind the sound. In workshops and meet-ups he speaks plainly and clearly—about breath, phrasing, and how to choose an instrument that fits the character of the player and the band. For him, music isn’t exhibition; it’s storytelling that connects audiences, musicians, and the city he carries in his heart.
In his words: “Since 1997 I’ve played saxophone with Kryštof—we’ve released ten albums and lived hundreds of stories on stage in the rhythm of music and joy. Now I have the honor to serve as an ambassador for Amati, the legendary Czech maker of wind instruments that unites craftsmanship, tradition, and an honest tone. Amati, to me, are not just instruments—they’re breath, soul, and the pure joy of sound that brings music to life.”
